Fun with home improvement, part II

Two years in this joint and we're finally getting around to doing the thing we said we'd do before we bought the damn place: replacing the carpet in the bedroom with hardwood floors (or at least something that looks like hardwood floors but costs a third of what hardwood floors cost). We had the day off work today to rip out carpet, and rip out carpet we did.

If I do say so myself, I rock at carpet removal.



Exhibit A is our naked bedroom. It will stay like this for approximately a week while our floors are on order. Shoes must be worn at all times due to the large number of staples still sticking out of the plywood. But believe it or not, this looks about 100 times better than it did BEFORE we ripped out the carpet! It was that nasty.
